It's Time to Get Rid of “Plus” Sizes and Just Have Sizes!

by Eva Everett October 06, 2018

We have made it our mission to make clothes that allow women to feel smart, confident, and genuinely awesome. We started our Adults line in order to show women that they belonged in STEM fields and to help them feel included in areas that were traditionally male-dominated. As part of this mission, we knew we needed to respect the fact that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

We had two rules when we created our line. 1) All dresses and skirts must have pockets, because pockets are the best thing ever. 2) All clothes in our Adults line must go up to at least 5X. We even went a step further in order to promote inclusivity. If you go to our site, you’ll notice there is no separate “plus” section since ALL of our clothes go up to 5X! (Along with that we don’t use genders on our clothes, but that's another story.) We think it is marginalizing to go to a website or walk into a store and find out that the retailer stops at a size 12 or has “plus” clothes in a separate section. To us, size is irrelevant. We make clothes for all physiques and builds. Regardless of your size, you are sure to fund something that you feel AWESOME in!

We have had so much positive feedback from our customers about how we list our products and we hope other brands start taking this same approach. We want to do our part to show that everyone deserves access to fashionable, fun clothes at a reasonable price point and that size doesn’t matter!
