Red Blood Cells Sleeveless Cowl Neck Top

Wearing this will not be in vein.

This biology-inspired pattern was suggested by one of our customers who is a physician. It depicts a dense pattern of red blood cells, unrestricted by veins and arteries, showing off their iron-rich good looks. Making up about a quarter of the body's cells, red blood cells carry oxygen, circulating around the body about once per minute. Their life cycle begins in the bone marrow where they develop, and then they circulate for 110-120 days in the body before they are then recycled by macrophages. These flexible, oval biconcave disks contain no nucleus and lack most organelles in order to make room for more hemoglobin, which holds in the oxygen. Because the cells have no mitochondria, they don't need to use any of the oxygen they carry, and can instead deliver all of it to the body parts that require it instead. Your muscles are grateful!

I like the style

I really like the style of this shirt a lot. I’ve been wearing it over a long sleeved shirt for winter. The collar is weird though, bulky and it does not fall right no matter what I do. I feel like I adjust it a lot while wearing it.

So fun, and all of my students recognize it!

I'm a biology teacher and wearing this dress always seems to inspire my students. They will exclaim their recognition and then launch into a description of how they recognized it if I let them. It's also incredibly comfortable and who doesn't LOVE a dress with pockets?! They aren't just any pockets either, they are nice, deep pockets where I can shove a giant smart phone, a ton of keys, really anything I might need!

RBC top

Fit as expected. The cowl neck portion was a little thicker feeling that I thought, but it was super. Work in a lab and was a big hit with my staff

Great Top

This is a great skirt. The fabric is soft and of great quality. The print is very crisp. Don't wear a dark bra underneath. The only complaint I have is that the cowl is a bit weird. The excess fabric doesn't meat the seam and it is a bit bulky, causing weird points in the cowl.

Wearing It to a Conference!

I was debating between getting a Large or a Medium as this was the first Svaha shirt that I bought for myself. I went with a Large and it fits well in the hips, waist, and chest. The only area that is a little too big is the arm holes. I plan on putting in a little dart right under the arm to help close up the gap. I cannot wait to wear this to an upcoming conference on infectious diseases!!
