Comfortable, nice pattern, runs TTS

I really like this skirt, particularly because it can be matched with a variety of tops and color combinations. Pocket placement is strategic, waistband is wide and doesn't roll. I'm between a M and L (I have both sizes in another pattern and I have a bulky but still hourglass-type shape), but I get the L to ensure that there is no stretching or pulling over the hips or butt. The length is not very flattering for me at only 5 feet tall, but I understand my height is an outlier, and I haven't gotten around to hemming to a better length for me. My nearly 5-year-old daughter has the children's math dress, and we frequently wear our outfits together when we travel. SO many compliments from others, and she likes to feel like there is an obvious connection to me in case we get separated. As I am a chemist and come from several generations of chemists, it's also totally okay with me if someone mistakes the pattern for positive and negative charges. Attached is a photo of my daughter and me after we exited the secure airport area following a day of flights.

"You look like Ms. Frizzle!"

When I wore this skirt to school, one of my 4th graders told me, "You look like Ms. Frizzle!" I love the design and it fits comfortably. It's nice and long. The only thing I don't love is that the black material is not as heavy as I expected and lightens when stretched.
