Sleeves are fun; hips are too tight
"I was worried that the bell sleeves would be annoying, but they're actually great -- just short enough that they're mostly out of the way and I only need to worry about them dragging in things when I'm reaching over a plate at dinner. What I SHOULD have been worried about was the "more form-fitting than our other styles. " In other Svaha dresses, a 2XL is a little loose around the bodice (but fits better than an XL) and I don't need to worry about the fit on my hips. On this one, the bodice fits well and the hips are such a tight sheath that the pockets visibly gape open. In order to get the fit shown on the model -- or even reasonably loose -- I would need to size up so much that the bodice would be hanging off of me. The embroidered dragonflies are fun, but I also suspect that the ones on my rear will wear badly. I do like the high neckline, though! Unlike some of my other dresses, I don't need to play "is this the dress/bra combo that will show the top of my bra if I lean just wrong?" TLDR: I wish Svaha would make more twirl dresses with this neckline, and I wouldn't mind more dresses with these sleeves, but the fit on the skirt is bad enough that I would have returned it had the price of the dress been worth the hassle of shipping it."
