Lots to like, but not perfect
"I love the colors and pattern of this dress I also love the neckline - it’s nice to have something with a collar as another option on a dress. I also quite like the style of the sleeves. I’m glad I paid attention to the sizing chart. Normally, I wear XL in Svaha dresses, but based on the sizing chart, the Large sounded like the right size for me and it does fit me nicely. After reading other reviews, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the drawstring. I actually don’t mind that it doesn’t go all the way around, but for me, the fact that it’s higher up - more under the bust than at the waist - isn’t the most flattering on me. I’ve got a belly and I think cinching the dress under the bust makes me look pregnant. I think my solution will be to not cinch the drawstring, wear a wide belt at my waist instead, and hide the drawstring under the belt. It’s not perfect because you can still see the horizontal line where the drawstring is, but since the fabric is dark, it’s not too noticeable."

Fun dress
"I love the dress and the only complaint is the drawstring. It gathers the front but not the back. I wish it gathered all away around. I wear it when I'll be playing in a musical group and I've received compliments from the group. I especially love the big pockets and the length."

Pretty but has a mind of its own
"I ordered the wrong size, which is completely on me, but the pockets seem like they are set a little higher than on my twirls so, since it was snugger than intentended, the pockets behaved strangely until I lost my extra holiday hips. The facing at the neckline tends to flip inside out and show, which is annoying, so I took off a star, but honestly, I love this dress. It's lighter weight than most of the knits and feels very breezy."

Needs a drawstring the whole way around.
"This dress is just shapeless due to the drawstring not being around the whole dress and others bad noted. Makes me look like a frumpy old lady."

Needs some tweets to be perfect:)
"I love this subtle print. I really like the cut of the dress. I originally ordered this in a size XL and it was way too big and billowy in the back. The drawstring is only in the front and it just didn't look right. I returned the XL and then order a L when they were back in stock. It is a much better fit in the body/torso even without using the drawstring. Unfortunately, the sleeves are too tight to button. I just wear them cuffed which totally works for me. I like this dress and the style. I would be interested in purchase more in other prints if the drawstring goes all around the waist. I would purchase the XL because my preference is for a looser overall fit. I am 5'10" tall, size 16W/18W, 40D chest, and a rectangular/not very curvy shape."

"drawstring does not go the whole way around"

"The color pattern is awesome, but the facing was all crumpled up and unruly at the neck plus there was a hole in one of the pockets. Fit was decent, the drawstring is only in the front and doesn't go all the way around which made it interesting to adjust, but it'll keep you from losing the ties!"

I love this dress -
"I love this dress - I like the fabric and the print, the pockets of course, the collar/neckline is nice. Only one issue - the drawstring design is just not made for us small band/large cup bra wearers. My dress is a size large, and it fits nicely everywhere except the drawstring. Where the drawstring pocket connects at the side seams, it is in the perfect position for a nice empire waist shape, similar to the jersey knit music dress, which I also own in a size large. However, my F or G cup bra size means that the drawstring pocket angles up from the side seam and hits me just below my nipple line. So if you are also more endowed, just be aware that this will be an issue for you. I will still wear the dress (I have in fact worn it twice and it is very comfortable), because fortunately the pattern and color makes the drawstring not that noticeable, especially if it isn't pulled very tight (I basically have it tied to keep the strings out of the way but not pulled in at all), and also I wear a lanyard at work that ends up covering the weird fit area."

This dress is super soft,
"This dress is super soft, has a nice drape, the usual deep pockets, and plenty of room at the neck to pull it over your head. I like how the drawstring provides shape while letting you decide how roomy you'd like the dress to be. And I like the subtle elegance of the music-notes pattern. I'm not sure I'll keep the cuff buttons done up (there's one on each cuff), because the sleeve length means the cuff goes up and down over my elbow and it's a skosh snug when it does, but it does fit. In this picture the buttons are undone, and the cuff still holds a nice shape. I'm 5'4" and this is a size L. I hope to see more in this style! (Photos feature inadequate lighting and a spotty old mirror, but I hope you can still see how cute this dress is!)"

This dress has just the
"This dress has just the right fit to look great. The fabric is excellent, not too heavy to make one hot, but heavy enough to have a smooth drape and a great look. It washes like a dream, and is ready to wear with little fuss. I love the drawstring and how I can choose to fit the bodice as I want. It has the classic deep Svaha pockets, and the collar element makes the dress look polished. I only wish there were other fabrics in this style! Winner!!"
