"These shorts are very comfortable, and not only are the pockets deep, I hardly notice the stitching from them! They come down to fingertip length on me (5’3” wearing size S), so they feel modest but still good for hot days. The only downside is that the tan is darker than it appears on the websites, so I probably won’t wear it under lighter colored dresses."

"I bought the 5x size based on my experience with the 4x leggings I got from Svahausa being SUPER tight and the 5x dresses being just a little tight, but apparently the leggings and dress sizes are not equivalent with the shorts sizes. The shorts are extremely loose and the inside of the legs rides up as I walk. As a result they're very unsightly when worn alone, and are uncomfortable even under a dress. (I don't enjoy hiding to yank down the crotch of my clothing every time I walk a hundred yards. ) Also, the elastic at the top of the shorts is attached to the fabric using an odd design choice that doesn't work well for me. Though it's attached to the seam in the back, it's not attached in the front-- which is awkward because the top of the shorts is not at the seam. The front of the shorts folds over the elastic and comes down behind it to meet the seam, so the top is about a half-inch up from the seam, and theoretically, the top of the elastic will rest there smoothly. But this only happens in theory. Because of this construction, the elastic doesn't want to lie flat or rest consistently at the top of the shorts. They smooth out quite a bit when put on, but not entirely. The elastic doesn't ride where it's supposed to and it leaves a weird rumpled bulge in places. I might try again with a smaller pair and do better-- but given the oddness of the elastic being sewn in like that and the high price? I probably won't."
"Shorts are size 2X. I have 46" hips, 36+" waist, 21" thighs. Very comfy. Waistband is high and wide, but has a narrower elastic band at top inside the waistband, maybe 3/4 inch wide? Is not tight. Legs are a little shorter than I like. Good for under dresses, but I would not wear them out with a shirt. Others would. Bike shorts? Not sure if they are tight enough. Thighs are not skin-tight on me."

I love the feel of the material, and it is good balance of strength/form without being too thick, and doesn't roll down.
