so many compliments

"I love it. it fits perfectly. it is so comfortable. it has chimpanzees on it, but subtle ones. it is a rich, beautiful color. it spins. I can fit everything in the pockets. I was told how pretty it was all day. it's a win!"

Beautiful

"This is a beautiful green color. It is soft, as all the Svaha dresses are, and the pockets are big as advertised. It is comfortable and breathable because it is cotton. I would recommend it. I now have way too many Svaha dresses but I really like them. If it is helpful to anyone, I am wearing a M in the photos."

I thought I wrote a

"I thought I wrote a review of this previously, but looks like it didn’t go through. And this dress deserves a review. The green is so pretty, a rich deep emerald green. My favorite green from Svaha yet. It looked more warm/yellow-toned green in the product pics on my screen, but in real life showed up such a beautiful shade of green that I ordered a second one. I’ll post pics with Svaha’s green leggings & green bat burnout cardigan, to give color comparison. I love that Svaha is donating to the Jane Goodall Institute with this dress. Some Svaha prints get noticed more than others, and I thought this one might not be noticed as quickly & commented on as much, but the first wear already had several people in the grocery store stop me to compliment it. I think the first thing people notice is how beautiful the color is along with the pretty cut, then are delighted by the print as they notice the details. Wearing it is a great pick-me-up. The pockets on these twirl dresses are more versatile than the overalls & cargo pants I used to wear. They hold so much without making things tight or restricting movement. I recommend inspecting seams upon arrival. Svaha is truly great if one arrives with a defect, and if there are no defects, I have yet to have a Svaha item wear out on me, even after years of wear. The cotton fabric and seams are both comfy and sturdy. With my sensory difficulties, these are so comfy and versatile that they are all I want to wear anymore. Sizing: At 5’3”, 35” bust, 29. 5” waist, 41” hips, about 140 lbs. , I wear a size SMALL in Svaha twirl (this dress), fit n’ flare, and skater dress styles. I preferred the medium in the platypus dress & petroglyphs dress, to give more room in the hips & pockets, but found sizing up to medium in the Birds of North America smocked waist dress made the top far too big, a surprising amount. Those dresses seem to have pockets that aren’t quite as generous as on the twirl and fit n’ flare dresses. I like size medium Svaha cardigans to pair with the dresses. I wear size large in the Svaha lounge pants, leggings, and shorts, since I don’t like elastic to have to stretch at all around my waist due to sensory issues. If the shorts are going under dresses, I’ll go up one more size to XL, which makes the crotch look baggy but gives me even more comfort. And the Svaha underwear is fairly comfy in size large, but even more comfy in size XL, and still manages to stay up and stay put. People without similar sensory issues may be happy with or even prefer smaller sizes."

LOVE LOVE LOVE

"I was so excited to receive this dress. As a primatologist with a closet full of Svaha products, having a primate themed dress was an ultimate wish list item from me. The execution did not disappoint: the colors are pleasing and the images are a great mixture of not-cartoony chimpanzees, foliage, and fieldwork tools. The fit and feel are great just like other colorways of this dress style. The charitable donation to a great org is a cherry on top!"

"My favorite thing about this dress is that it both memorializes Jane Goodall and contributes to her ongoing work. Aside from that, it fits beautifully, it has a slightly higher neckline than a lot of my other Twirl dresses. My favorite color is green and the deep, rich greens of this dress make me feel beautiful."

Shade of green is even better than product pics!

"The green color is even better in person! It’s a deep rich emerald green, my favorite green from Svaha yet! It looked more warm/yellow toned green on my monitor. I was thrilled when it arrived in such gorgeous shades of green. I love it so much, I went and ordered a second one! I’ve included pics of it with Svaha’s green leggings (both their new and old green leggings are almost identical color, unlike their old and new purple leggings which are noticeably different shades. ) And also a pic with Svaha’s green bats burnout cardigan, for color comparison. I love that Svaha is donating to Jane Goodall’s institute with the purchase of this dress. I’ve only worn it out and about once so far, and was stopped several times in the grocery store by people complementing it. It’s that gorgeous green, a flattering style, and then the great print when you look more closely. Truly a special dress. Of course it has the famous huge and useful Svaha pockets, and comfy, sturdy cotton fabric and stitching. Check the seams when your items arrive before wearing it; Svaha is great if you spot any defects in the stitching. If there are no defects, of the many, many Svaha items I’ve worn over the years, I’ve yet to have any item wear out. Dresses I’ve had for many years still look brand new (as evidenced by me repurchasing my favorite wrap constellation dress when it was re-issued years later, as a just-in-case back-up. You couldn’t tell which was the newer one!) These are the most comfortable and practical clothes I’ve had the delight of wearing, and I used to think of dresses as impractical. I find the pockets even more useful and practical than the overalls and cargo pants I used to love, since you can have them full of stuff and still bend and move about with no tightness or restriction. I don’t have to think about what I’ll be doing that day…these are just as perfect for working in the garden, chasing a dog, or hiking as they are holding a class, going to a conference, or vacation. Sizing: I’m 5’3”, 35” bust, 29. 5” waist, 41” hips, about 140 lbs. I’m wearing size SMALL in this dress, just as with all the Svaha twirl, fit n flare, and skater dresses. I sized up to medium in the petroglyphs dress to give more room in the hips and space in the pockets, since that style was cut with tighter hip area, and I like room to use my pockets. I wear size medium in Svaha cardigans. I wear size large in Svaha lounge pants and leggings because I don’t like elastic waist bands to have to stretch around my abdomen, due to sensory issues. Size large in their underwear works fairly comfortably, though I prefer to size up to XL for the most comfort, where the elastic doesn’t have to stretch at all, but they manage to still stay up and stay put well. For the Svaha shorts, I wear large, but size up to XL (which are a bit baggy in the crotch) if I’m wearing them under dresses, for the extra comfort. Most people without the same sensory issues would probably be fine with or may prefer smaller sizes."
